In the 1960's Tom Monaghan and his brother James started a Pizza company named DomiNick's. DomiNick's was based in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
In 1965 Tom Monaghan decided to re-name his company into Domino's Pizza.
The Grand Opening of 2000th Domino's Pizza store!
Since 1983 the brand and concept of Domino's Pizza is distributed around the world.
Domino’s Pizza opens store number 5000!
Domino's Pizza entries the Belgium market.
The grand opening of the 1500th store outside the United States. From this moment on Domino's Pizza is to be found on every continent in the world! In 1997 we're also introducing our new logo!
Domino's opens her 6000th store in San Francisco, California. In this year Tom Monaghan sells 93% of his share in Domino's Pizza to Bain Capital inc. and retires.
In the year 2000 Domino's Pizza becomes the biggest Pizza delivery company in the world. With over 6500 stores world wide they have a yearly turnover of 3.5 billion dollars!
Domino's Pizza Belgium joins the new master-franchise Domino's Pizza Enterprises, based in Australia. Domino's Pizza enterprises consists of Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Domino's Pizza celebrates its 50th birthday!
